Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the official announcement, "An unusual encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine group.
The questline centers on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to multiple items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Update
This patch also brings the game's latest free story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
